What is a Conservancy?

A conservancy is the voluntary co-operative environmental management of a area, by it’s community and users, and in respect of which registration has been granted by the relative provincial conservation authority

The sole guiding principal and unifying factor of a conservancy is nature conservation with no political context whatsoever.

Co-operative environmental management means that a conservancy manages an area in accordance with sound environmental principles

We, as property owners, should take responsibility and get actively involved towards nature conservation.
